Rev. Dr. William Barber II. Barber, hailed by many to be this generation’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Barber will be the morning teacher and afternoon preacher. Barber, relying on both scripture and the guarantees of the Constitution of the United States, will help make the connections of head and heart about issues of poverty and systemic racism as well as other social justice issues that need Christian moral influence in our day. Afternoon worship will feature Disciples on Campus students and the excellent Chapman University Singers. Online registration and additional information can be found at www.chapman.edu/founders-day.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING Sunday February 2, 2020
Can you believe it’s almost Christmas? To celebrate the music of the season, the Chancel Choir invites you to their Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 15th at 4:30 PM in the Sanctuary. Following the concert, join us for a Holiday Gathering in Davis Hall. The concert will have something for everyone, from traditional sacred music to the “old favorites” we all love to hear during Advent. A variety of musical styles and combinations, from solos and duets to the full choir, accompanied by instrumentalists, keyboard, and drums, will fill your heart with holiday spirit. Please mark your calendars now, and join the choir as we fill the Sanctuary with joyous holiday music!
The proceeds from this monthly fundraiser (i.e. 20% of all money spent by our church families and friends on food and beverages—excluding alcoholic drinks) goes to our Campership Fund, which allows many of our youth to go to camp at Loch Leven (DOC) or Pilgrim Pines (UCC) throughout the year.
To qualify your purchase, please pick up a red flyer at Church to take to the Diner with you, or see Robbie at the Diner the night you’re there.
TAKE-OUT ORDERS WORK, TOO!
